The Royal Oratory – a private space for the most powerful of the kingdom
1. 7. 2024Even in the smaller rural churches located near the nobleman’s mansions, one specific architectural element can be seen near the main altar. It is the so-called oratory (=place of prayer), usually elevated in the form of an open emporium.

But you can still join us online and get a glimpse of what lies behind the gates of Prague Castle, have a look inside the cathedral itself, and see some places that remain hidden from view on regular tours.
